Offerings

Making the decision to get married is one of the most important decisions a couple will make as they join their lives together. I am an ordained minister through Universal Life Church and vested in the State of Florida. Whether you are a local or considering a destination wedding in the Panhandle of Florida, I will be happy to make your special day as unique as you are. I will write a script tailored to your special day, assist you with vow writing, and of course, officiating! We will write and tell your love story together!

Do you want to add a little more to your ceremony? Share your idea with me!  Handfastings and sand ceremonies are special ways to honor each other and even unite blended families. Your day should be sacred and special to you and your loved one!

Additional Service: If you are doing a last-minute wedding and need a wedding attendant, I can do that too! If you have a guest list of approximately 25 or less, I will be happy to provide vendor management, day of attending, and officiate.

FAQs

Where can you legally officiate weddings?

Anywhere in the State of Florida. I am a Minister with the Universal Life Church, vested in the State of Florida. I am also a Florida Notary Public. Both titles give me full authority to marry legal and consenting adults in the State of Florida. I typically perform wedding ceremonies between Pensacola, Florida and Panama City, Florida. For more information contact your County Clerk of Courts, these are the ones I primarily deal with:
Escambia County: https://www.escambiaclerk.com/212/Marriage-Licenses
Santa Rosa County: https://santarosaclerk.com/other-services/marriage/
State of Florida: https://www.flclerks.com/page/HDI_Marriage_License

Can you perform a ceremony if I have an out of state license?

I can ONLY perform a ceremony; however, I cannot sign your out of state license. In order to legally complete your marriage, I can ONLY sign a marriage license for the state of Florida.

An option is to complete your legal documentation at your local county/state courthouse and still have a ceremony in the beautiful state of Florida. In this case, I will not sign any documents just preside over wedding ceremony.

Can you perform a ceremony if my license is from another County in Florida?

Yes, I can! You can have your ceremony and I can legally sign your marriage license from any county within Florida. Just return your license back to the county clerk you originally filed with within 10 days after I signed your license.

Do you, as the officiant, return my marriage license to the county clerk of courts?

I do not. It is your responsibility as the newly wed couple to ensure you maintain positive control of your license after I signed it and return it to the court house in which you originally filed within 10 days after the license is signed by me.

Is there a waiting period in the State of Florida?

Yes, for locals- residents of Florida- you must wait at least three (3) days from the initial issuance of your marriage license.  Local residents who have completed an approved marriage counseling course may have the waiting period waived. For out of state -non-residents- there is no waiting period.

My fiancé(e) and I would love to have a personalized ceremony, will you do this?

Yes, I will work with you as a couple to help you tell your love story and share it with each other, your family and friends. Leading up to the ceremony, I will work with you to create your vows, sermon, and any special ceremonies you want to include.

What kind of ceremonies will you perform?

I will perform nearly any ceremony you wish to have, traditional, spiritual, some religious, agnostic, etc, as I am non-denominational. I cannot perform specific religious ceremonies that I am not trained to perform.  I also perform non-traditional ceremonies such as commitment ceremonies, handfastings, Sand Ceremonies, and Elopements. If you have an idea, I would LOVE to hear it! I enjoy performing different ceremonies that are personalized to you and your fiancé(e).  I specialize in beach weddings, destination beach weddings, elopements, and micro-weddings. I also love performing bigger ceremonies indoor and outdoor, as well.

Do you perform all-inclusive ceremonies?

I will absolutely perform any ceremony that includes two consenting, legal adults. LGBTQIA+ are all welcome and I am happy to perform your wedding or commitment ceremony.

Do you come to wedding rehearsals?

Yes, I will accommodate wedding rehearsals. I believe it is important to complete a rehearsal or, at the very least, discuss what order of events and wishes you have for your ceremony. The final consultation regarding this will minimize any disruptions and ensure your wedding ceremony will go as smooth as possible!

What will you wear to the ceremony?

In our initial consultation meeting, we discuss what I will wear. I think it is important to dress appropriate to the ceremony. If your ceremony has a certain theme (formal, casual, beachy, informal) or colors you wish for me to wear or avoid on your special day, I will do my very best to accommodate. Otherwise, I generally will wear neutral colors, such as black or gray or beach business casual (for beach ceremonies), if you do not have a preference.

Will you make an unplugged announcement for my ceremony?

More and more couples are want me to make an announcement for their guests to put away distracting phones, devices, etc for their ceremony. Usually they only want their photographer(s) and videographers to record their special day. I am happy to make this announcement for your guests to be present for your ceremony.

What does our initial Consultation and follow-ups look like?

We will set an appointment to discuss in person, via phone, or via Zoom or Google Chat to discuss your vision for your wedding day. The initial meeting is about 1 hour and is free.

We determine if we click; as your wedding officiant, I want to make sure we get along well as it is most important for me to help you have a wonderful wedding experience! You and I will be in touch multiple times throughout your wedding planning process!

We will build your contract, determine the final invoice, and I will have you complete a worksheet to gather ideas to draft your wedding sermon. I will be reasonably available throughout the wedding planning process via text and phone.

We will meet again at least one (1) to two (2) weeks prior to your wedding date and again at the rehearsal (if we contracted for this), to ensure your sermon and vows are as you wish and your wedding day vision is met. If you need me to speak to photographers or wedding coordinators prior to your wedding, I am happy to do so for planning purposes.

Do you have any other offerings?

YES! I am also a yoga and meditation teacher! I am happy to teach yoga to your bridal party for a bridal shower, bachelorette party, mixed pre-marital parties, or even to the happy couple to overcome some pre-wedding jitters. My yoga sessions are very gentle, soothing, and calming. We can meet at the beach for a sunrise or sunset yoga session or at a safe place of your choosing.

I can perform day of wedding attendant duties for small weddings and provide you with a list of vendors I trust for the wedding and reception. I may be able to coordinate some of those requests. We can discuss what your needs are at the initial consultation.

Last, but not least, Lenaha how do you pronounce your name?

It is pronounced, Luh-nay-yuh. Thank you for asking! I hope I have helped answered many of your questions, and I am honored if you choose me to Officiate your special day!
